When you wish upon a blog......

I returned home yesterday after three fabulous days of work experience at MacNean House and Restaurant. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it and I will tell you about it later in the week.
First I must ask you to make a wish! Something magical has been happening of late where a Fairy Hobmother has been visiting blogs and granting wishes. After leaving a comment on Babaduck's blog the fairy came right this way to grant me my wish of an impressive new hand blender. For the past few years, I have used my blender on a daily basis, for smoothies, soups and kiddie meals, so at this stage, it is a little battered. I had been meaning to purchase a new one for some time so for one to a arrive on my doorstep for free was a wonderful surprise. On receiving the email I realised that the Fairy Hobmother is actually a very nice man called David from Appliances Online. The wonderful part of this story is that he wants to sprinkle a little more fairy dust and make some more wishes come true for the readers of this blog. All you have to do is leave a comment below stating what you would like to wish for. It can be something electrical, some books, tableware, kitchenware, really anything you please. He will be keeping an eye on the comments and in a couple of weeks he will contact the lucky winner. This wish isn't just limited to Ireland, you can make your wish from anywhere in the world. Also, you don't need to have your own blog either so anyone is eligible to enter. So best of luck and start wishing!

I included the above photo of Chocolate Soup as quite simply it's been on my mind to make, as it's so totally delicious.

Chocolate Soup? Soup that's chocolate? Get in my belly! This is going on my DO IT list, Thanks.

Have a serious need for some silicone bakeware should the Fairy Hobmother be watching, my tins are an unholy show :)

Please oh Fairy Hobmother, if its not too much trouble, I would like to wish for a set of very sharp knives. I've had mine since wedding day 18 years ago and frankly my 92 year old aunts dentures cut better than my knives. Thank you. Over and out in Central Illinois

Dear Fairy Hobmother, I wish, I wish for a shiny new hand blender as mine went to hand blender heaven recently after serving me well for many years, and I am lost without it.........

(Failing that the ability to scoff the Chocolate Soup without gaining so much as an ounce would be nice!)

Nicola :)

I wish, I wish, I wish for some pretty tableware - pink cups and saucers & teapot & jug. Too much? I'll take whatever's on offer!

Am loving your blog Nessa, very user friendly!

It's always great to read a good news story. Even better that you're sharing the love (and a chocolate soup recipe!) If there is one thing I need, it's a hand held electric mixer. The kind that drives two beaters. Mine has recently gone to join all the other great appliances in the sky. It was at least 18 years old and loved very much. That's my wish. Btw, I have to say this is the coolest thing I've done on a blog.

Hi Nessa - that chocolate soup looks amazing - do you take your own photos?

As far as fairy godmothers are concerning, if mine is listening, I would love a really good crockpot. I haven't had one in 10 years and I really miss it, but so many of the newer ones are not well made. Cuisinart makes a great one, fairy godmother!

Hello dear fairyhobmother, I wish for a microplane grater. I can't find one anywhere and it's severely affecting the meal making in this house. Thank you kindly! 

My wish for the fairyhobmother would have to be for a new electric mixer. The one I have is about to pay fairyhob heaven a visit...
Thanks a million.

I'd wish for a decent set of pots and pans. I've just moved from Ireland to Vienna and my apartment is sparse to say the least. I have one (dodgy) frying pan and have been using it for everything - including boiling pasta! Money is tighter than I'd like for it to be so it's going to be a while before I can afford to buy any!
