Jack is always a great help in the kitchen. |
On tasting the icing it was declared not 'chocolatey' enough so a spoonful of cocoa was added! |
I think all children love to get creative with how they top their buns. |
If the boys are doing something then Millie has to get stuck in too! |
Fionn decorates with little icing but lots of sweets- just the way he likes them! |
Job well done! |
Millie can't wait for the taste test. |
Until Jack mentioned it to me yesterday, I had completely forgot that my blog would of celebrated it's 2nd birthday at the beginning of this week. A lot has happened in the past two years. I love to write and to take photos but for most of my time I'm a stay at home mam to four, so this is a wonderful hobby for me. I've had many amazing experiences and opportunities in the past couple of years, which all really came from blogging. Thanks for coming on this journey with me and as always I'm grateful for your feedback through comments, e-mails and tweets.

Happy Blog Birthday!
Nicola
That's a keeper of a frosting recipe, what a lovely milk chocolate color! I also love how the kids faces get progressively messier in the photos.
Thank you ladies, for your lovely comments! You made me laugh Sue - very true :)
There is nothing nicer than baking with your children.
Happy 2nd Birthday.
Oh my gosh, what adorable photos!
They look adorable Nessa. I have two girls who would delight in making those so will stock up when shopping tomorrow :~)
Nessa, so wonderful that you include all of them in the kitchen My GK's and I cook often and call ourselves "The messy bakers" Today we made cornbread cookies with thyme. We all thought they would taste awful but they did not and we ate tons with cold glasses of raw milk. Then I showed them YOUR pics of children in Ireland baking and they were thrilled but wanted to know why your baby girl did not have an apron:)
PS I hate mornings, but LOVE your blog.
Beautiful photos! Happy 2nd blog birthday!
Think I'm officially a bad mother. My family baking sessions usually end in tears (usually mine!). Congrats on the blog birthday.
Thank you for all your lovely comments and good wishes. Cornbread cookies with thyme sound wonderful Donna. Great to hear that you have such a lovely time with your grandchildren cooking. My little miss had her apron on while making the buns but when it came around to decorating she had whipped it off!
Oh Claire there are plenty of tears. I just take my shots at the right time :)
HI Nessa, I just can't get over these photos, you capture it so beautifully. The cupckaes looks fab, will def make them with TJ :)
